Volume 01 Issue 03 | August 2002
|
|
Hello and Welcome to our Newsletter!
This is the third month of operation of the Newsletter.
|
| First let me introduce our web
site. I started this web site to display my jewelry and
crafts. I am constantly coming up with new styles and
products, like my new Air Fresher Crochet Bags and Eyeglass
Holders. This month we added more Dreamcatchers. |
| I am adding new crafts hints
section to the newsletter, so scroll down to read it! |
| We are selling these during
August with free Shipping. Due to the weight of the frame, that
means a $10 savings! My Crosses
Page has opened with Framed Wooden Matchstick Crosses. They
would be an elegant addition to the wall of a home. The
matchsticks are slightly burned on the tips, then glued to a
backing. Some of the crosses I paint the ends of the matchsticks,
others are left alone simply burnt. Then I matte them in a wooden
picture frame. You really have to go see them as this explanation
doesn't do them the justice the photographs have to offer. |
| These have been a big seller
during July. So I am reposting this article! I have also posted my Ornamental
Ribbon Bookmark Crosses that were on Gifts I have Given
Gallery page for sale this month. I show you them hanging on
my Christmas Tree as Ornaments, then explain that on Christmas day
I gave them out as gifts to everyone there to use as a Bookmark. |
|
| Craft Hints! |
| First let me encourage any one
to send in their hints by replying to this newsletter! |
| Stretch Bracelets.
Though we don't sell stretchy bracelets, try rolling them off and
on your wrist as opposed to stretching them. This will make
the elastic thread last much longer. And of course when the
elastic starts to loose its stretch, its time to replace the
thread by restringing the beads. |
| Broken Beaded Jewelry.
I guess this is a no brain-er, but save all the beads you can if
your jewelry breaks. Save any other parts also. It is
often impossible to find the exact same color of beads again. The
more parts you are able to save the higher the chance it can be
repaired. |
Candles.
Here are some quick hints:
Keep you wicks trimmed to a 1/4 inch on most candles, unless it is
a taper whose wicks are usually made to bend over and burn off in
the hot part of the flame.
Don't burn container candle for more than 4 hours at a time or any
longer than the manufacturer recommends.
Don't leave your candles in a window sill. The sunlight will fade
the colors and ruin the scent. And of course don't every light one
there! You could ignite the drapes or the wind from an open window
will make the candle burn uneven. |
